Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to the supply and installation of solar panel systems by Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd. By purchasing a solar panel system from us, you agree to the following terms.
1. Use of System
All solar panel systems supplied by Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd are designed for installation on residential properties within the United Kingdom unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The system must be used only for its intended purpose and in accordance with all supplied instructions and applicable regulations.
2. Installation
A fixed standard installation fee applies to qualifying installations and will be confirmed prior to purchase.
Installation is subject to a satisfactory property assessment, including roof suitability, electrical safety, and system compatibility checks.
Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd reserves the right to refuse installation if the property is found to be unsuitable or unsafe.
Additional works outside of the standard installation scope may incur additional charges, which will be agreed with the customer before work proceeds.
3. Warranty
Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd provides a 10-year product warranty on supplied solar panel systems covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal domestic use.
Where a covered component fails during the warranty period, Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd may, at its discretion:
Repair the defective component
Replace the defective component with an equivalent product
Provide an appropriate alternative remedy in accordance with applicable consumer legislation
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Manufacturer warranties may also apply to individual components such as panels, inverters, or batteries.
4. Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover faults, damage, or performance issues caused by circumstances outside the reasonable control of Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd, including but not limited to:
Storms, flooding, lightning, high winds, fire, or other extreme weather events
Animal or pest damage, including birds or infestations
Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance
Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or tampering
Damage caused by third parties
General wear and tear
Cosmetic deterioration which does not affect system performance
Any work carried out by persons not authorised by Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd may invalidate warranty coverage.
5. System Performance
Any estimated energy generation, energy savings, or financial savings provided are illustrative estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Actual system performance may vary depending on factors including:
Roof orientation and shading
Weather conditions
Property energy consumption
System maintenance
Changes in electricity prices
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
Providing accurate information during the quotation and assessment process
Ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property for installation and maintenance
Obtaining any necessary permissions or consents unless otherwise agreed
Using the system in accordance with supplied instructions
Not interfering with or modifying the system without approval
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect warranty entitlement.
7. Electrical Compliance
All installations will be carried out in accordance with relevant UK electrical regulations and standards applicable at the time of installation.
Where applicable, the customer may be responsible for notifying their electricity supplier or Distribution Network Operator (DNO) regarding the installation.
8. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of statutory consumer rights.
Subject to the above, Plug In Solar Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Loss of profits, revenue, or anticipated savings
Losses arising from events outside of its reasonable control
Our total liability relating to the supply and installation of the system shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the relevant goods and services.
9. Cancellation Rights
Where the contract is entered into at a distance or off-premises, customers may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Details of any applicable cancellation period will be provided separately before the contract is concluded.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
